Lo-Fi Lullabies EP

Lo-Fi Lullabies was the first of two EPs I wrote and recorded in 2017, while Bird and I were living in Maine. This first record is a lo-fi look at the two faces of the coin of comfort: religion and nihilism, relationships and loneliness, open space and the lid nailed down in the dark. Lo-Fi Lullabies didn't start with a concept or a theme: I just started writing the songs, and over the three days of writing and demoing, a thread just sort of turned up, running between them like a gossamer web. Sometimes the back of my brain is in the writing room with me, dealing with all the nuance I'm too tired to touch.
